Company II

Company II is a training ground for younger and/or less experiences dancers whose goal is to have more intensive training at a level not quite as advanced as PCYBC.

Company II is for dancers ages 12-18, who may not have had quite as much training or experience as dancers in the Full Company. Company II serves as the training ground for the Full Company. Dancers eligible for Company II must be at least 12 years olf by December 31, 2008 and have at least one year of Pointe work.

Older dancers may also audition for Company II if they feel their training and experience is more suited for this level. Dancers taking the Company II audition will only be considered for positions in Company II.

In addition, female dancers must have had one full year of pointe work. This means they must have started pointe work in September 2006 or before. Dancers must meet both the age and pointe work requirement. Dancers who meet the age requirement but do not have one full year of pointe work are not eligible. In reverse, dancers meeting the pointe work requirement but not the birth date deadline are also not eligible. This is to assure the safe and consistent development of the dancer. Male and female dancers may audition.

Dancers selected as members for the Full Company and Company II are required to perform in PCYBC’s annual Nutcracker production in December.
