Audition Information
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2008
The Potomac Classical Youth Ballet Company, under the Artistic Direction of Lauran Clowser, will be holding auditions for the 11th annual Nutcracker performance at the Maryland Theatre on Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7.Auditions will be held at the City Ballet School located in the Elizabeth Hager Center at 14 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD.
The audition schedule is as follows:
1 – 2:30 pm - Dancers 10 years old to Adult OR anyone presently on Pointe2:30 – 3:30 pm - Dancers 8 to 10 years of age AND who have not danced on Pointe
3:30 – 4:30 pm - Dancers 5 to 7 years of age
Age is determined as the age on the day of the audition
Dancers must be at least 5 years old by September 14, 2008 to audition. No exceptions will be made. Dancers do not have to be affiliated with the City Ballet School or PCYBC to audition. All dancers under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
All dancers must be presently studying ballet. Adults need no prior dance training.
Dancers should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their audition time to fill out paperwork. Dancers should wear appropriate ballet attire. Girls should bring Pointe shoes if they have had previous training on Pointe.
There is an audition fee of $10.00
