Artistic Director and Founder: Lauran Clowser

A graduate of the Washington School of Ballet, Mrs. Clowser studied with Mary Day, Martin Buckner and Edward Caton. A graduate of Adelphi University with a B.A. in Dance, she studied with members of the Joffrey Ballet Company, American Ballet Theater, The Royal Ballet of England, Martha Graham Company, and Paul Taylor Dance Company. She was also a dance scholar recipient at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Also founder of the City Ballet School in Hagerstown, Mrs. Clowser has been teaching in the area since 1973. In 1997 she was honored with the Diploma of Choreography form the Russian and Ukrainian government for her work with Russian dancers and American ballet students. In 2001 she was named to Kingston's National Registry for Who's Who in America as a life member for her work with children and contributions to the community. In October 2002, Mrs. Clowser was listed in the National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals for the 2003 - 2004 edition,

She now resides is Hagerstown with her husband Bill. They have three daughters.
